I see the near future sometimes?

When i was young i used to have those little visions. I saw +- 10 seconds of something that was going to happen in like a few hours. but then it stopped and the years went by. now almost 5 years later I had it again. i saw me in 1st person view pouring sugar into a little pot when i heard something behind me. i turned around and wasted sugar on the table. so after a few hours i'm standing at the table pouring sugar into the same little pot! i heard the same sound behind me but i decide not to turn around. i didn't waste anything this time. so the question is : why do i see everything correct exept for that "wasting" part? And no, i don't do drugs =p
